Nic Bushong

Associate Attorney
He/Him/His

Nic grew up in Somerset, Kentucky before moving to Louisville. He chose to make his home in Derby City because it has the perfect blend of small-town culture and progressive values. After sampling careers in several different fields, he decided to pursue his lifelong dream of attending law school. During law school, he dedicated himself to providing services to indigent clients through participation in pro bono clinics. Upon graduating from Brandeis School of Law, he worked as a public defender before pivoting to family law.

Before joining Reczek Chase Law, Nic served as staff attorney to Judge Angela Johnson. While working under Judge Johnson, Nic handled cases ranging from simple, uncontested divorces to complex, novel issues in the field of family law. Nic decided to leave public service so that he could return to a career of advocacy and use his problem-solving skills to assist clients with their issues directly.
